The Giwayen Mata dance floor has been a gathering place for men, women, children, elders, ameteurs, professionals, and more for over 25 years!
This is a Community Appreciation Dance Class- our way of thanking our beloved community for the ongoing support of our classes and events. Â This 3PM session on 12/10/23 is FREE for children, seniors, and students and just $5 for adults! Â Â
During this 3PM session on 12/10/23, our rotating list of Giwayen Mata lead dancers Adi Bates, Joi Hudson, Nneka Gales, Tambra Omiyale Harris, and Zakiyyah Sabree will tag team for a non-stop dance experience perfect for all ages and experience levels.Â
12/10/23 is a "2 Class Day" so stick around and join us for Doun Dance w/ T. Ayo. Â Use our site to select DANCE AND DRUM CLASSES; click Doun Dance w/ T. Ayo. Â
Bring: water, cash to "give the drummer some" (tips are optional), and your open mind.
Wear: comfortable athletic or dance wear to include but not limited to lappas/wrap skirts, shokatos/loose pants, leggings/briefs, and t-shirts/tanks.
Parking: arrive 15 minutes early to find parking
