About the event
Inspired by the legacy of education, resistance, and unity observed annually during Black August, Giwayen Mata uses dance, rhythm, and song to pay homage to the Pan-African liberation movements that made us.
We Be The Movement amplifies the voices and ideas of black women leaders who strategically weave both self and community care as central practices in the empowerment of people all over the world.
